There are various types of surgical operating microscopes that are used for different applications. One common type of operation microscope is used by ENT (ear, nose, and throat) medical doctors. The binocular head of the microscope is straight without any angle. Also, the focal length is usually different.

Some have USA FDA and some don’t. Those with FDA are higher grade but also cost more. All have motorized focus via foot petal. Some have zoom, some have fixed magnification. Some have motorized XY movement to center the specimen. Some have motorized zoom
